Pennsylvania Pre-IDTA technical assistance is intended to build the capacity and readiness of sites through initial data collection and cross-systems product development for participation in a more intense IDTA. The Pennsylvania pre-IDTA involved the Department of Public Welfare (DPW), Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Administrative Office Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC).

The pre-IDTA sought to achieve cross-systems integration and coordination for the benefit of children and families. Through the pre-IDTA, the state will pilot the UNCOPE screening tool in three counties to better identify cases involving parental or caregiver substance use. The following summarize the major accomplishments and products of the pre-IDTA:

  • Cross-Systems Collaboration Survey (PDF 238 KB)

Developed as part of a marketing campaign to engage stakeholders from DPW, DDAP and AOPC. Designed to identify barriers to effective cross system cooperation.

  • Practice Guide

Draft practice guide to serve as a tool to guide the development of county-specific protocols for counties participating in the UNCOPE pilot.
